Bethany Got a Job!

Everything that Bethany was praying for concerning a job was answered today! It was a "match made in heaven" for sure. "We had a good feeling about you right from the start!" expressed the Managing Partner of the firm located in downtown St. Petersburg right across from The BayWalk. Bethany can start anytime with projects and then after her last two BAD chemo's (July 6 & July 27), she will go full-time. The Lord affirmed His leading to stay in this area. Casagrande & Associates plans to give her time off to study for the the Bar and take the Exam. She will begin study in December, take the Bar in February, and if all goes well, the Firm will hire her as an Associate. What more could we ask? It was "one of those happy days". We celebrated with lunch at Longhorn and birthday shopping at The Mall.

For those of you who were praying for no hospital stay after this past chemo...OUR PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED!! Thank you for your love and consistant prayer and concern for our family.

General Update

June 20, 2007

Hi! I trust this will be a good tool to keep you updated.

Blogging is new to this "Grammy" but so much of life is learning new things and dealing with all kinds of situations. God is sovereign over it all...regardless.

"God is great but sometimes life ain't good." Since Bethany's diagnosis of breast cancer on December 28, 2006, she has had two surgery's, four chemotherapy's and four hospital stays, two of which she battled serious and deadly infections in reaction to her six hour regime mixing three kinds of chemo (herceptin, carboplatin and taxotere).

We are presently all together as a family vacationing at Mexico Beach. Whew! Yes, Bethany did graduate (by the grace of God) with a juris doctorate from Stetson College of Law the same morning Joey graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary. We are RELAXING and enjoying rich fellowship. Baby Claire turned one on June 19th (see posted picture).

Looks like Bethany avoided another glamorous hospital visit by suggesting an immune booster injection and taking preventative antibiotics! Shouldn't we have had this before??
